Mr. William B. Coker

Mr. William B. Coker is a Chartered Insurer after having attended the CII College of Insurance in Sevenoaks, Kent, U.K. and qualifying in 1992 as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, U.K.

Mr. Coker began his insurance career in 1980 with the Gambia National Insurance Corporation, where he rose through the ranks to become the first Deputy Managing Director/Deputy CEO in 1994. He was later appointed as Managing Director/CEO in 1998, a role he held until 2005.

Following his tenure at Gambia National Insurance Corporation, Mr. Coker served as Secretary General/CEO of the West Africa Insurance Companies Association (WAICA), a sub-regional body of insurance institutions in West Africa.
