WAICA Reinsurance (Kenya) Limited, a subsidiary of WAICA Reinsurance Corporation PLC (WAICA Re), was incorporated on 3^rd November 2017 and commenced operations in October 2018, following the issuance of its reinsurance operating license by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) of Kenya on 9^th October 2018.

WAICA Re Kenya operates across the following 13 African countries i.e Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, Djibouti, Seychelles, Mauritius, Zambia, Comoros and Somaliland.

The Company has established partnerships with market players in the East Africa, Southern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands including but not limited to Insurers, Reinsurers and Reinsurance Brokers.

With adequate capacity to absorb risks, the Company underwrites all classes of general insurance like Fire, Engineering, Liability classes, Motor, Marine and Aviation, Oil and Gas and Property.

WAICA Re Kenya is managed by a Board of experienced professionals and a management team that has relevant in-depth experience in reinsurance market across the region.
